Our hope for SPACYOUTH is that would be a safe place for you to explore who you are and what it means to do life with God. We think that the best life is found in apprenticing together with Jesus who promises to bring us fullness of life. We invite you to join us as we live this life with Jesus and have a whole lot of fun trying to do so. Every week we get together to hang out, play games, sing together, and have great conversations about some of most important topics of life.
For the month of September we will be meeting over Zoom on Wednesdays! This is a time to connect, play games and hang out with friends. Email Pastor Matt to get the Zoom ID and password to join.
We are excited to announce that we are gearing up to relaunch SPACYOUTH in early October. As with the many other things that continue to evolve and change, youth is no exception. For the next 6 months (hopefully) things will look a little different around here both as we live in this COVID world and as we anticipate the opening of our new church building in March of 2021! Here are some things about SPACYOUTH that will be different come fall:
We know that not all of you are comfortable with meeting in person so we will be providing an interactive livestream of the evening with online specific small groups that will meet during the in person small group time. Stay tuned for more details.
Due to government protocols we will be social distancing, sanitizing, wearing masks, and asking you to prescreen before arriving at youth (please use this prescreen questionnaire). If you are unable to wear a mask due to a pre existing condition let us know (you don’t have to disclose the condition) so there is no confusion.
In order to provide the best experience within the framework we have (the limitations of our space mixed with the realities of masking and distancing) we will be splitting our group in two, Jr High (grades 7-9) and Sr High (Grades 10-12). The groups will meet on alternating weeks.
Our small groups will look different as we will be making them smaller to allow for better conversation and there will be the availability of Co-ed groups as well.
Our night will be shortened to 7-8:30PM to allow for time to properly sanitize the space post youth. We ask that you drop off your students no earlier than 6:50 (unless they are serving and need to be there earlier) and pick them no later than by 8:45.
But even with these changes and things feeling a little different, we are working on making youth a fun and welcoming environment for everyone and a place where we can continue to apprentice with Jesus together.
