Family Meeting | Giving Tags June 2025

Dear Stony plain Alliance Church family,

In our last Family Meeting, the board brought forward an update of our current financial reality, which you can watch HERE. They expressed that we are in a pivotal time where decisions will need to be made around staffing and ministries in order to be in a sustainable financial position as a church moving forward.

While this may seem daunting and can feel unsettling, we believe we have an opportunity to do something together where our emphasis is not on who gives what, or valuing one form of contribution over another, but rather on our collective generosity and God’s faithfulness to provide what we need – through the ways we serve together, pray together, and give together as a community.

To help us meet the current need represented in our budget shortfall, we have created a way to respond tangibly in generosity. In two locations in the foyer, our donut walls have been filled with giving tags. Each tag represents an ongoing $50/month commitment and can be taken as a group, a family, or an individual! Take one. Take two. Ask Jesus how he would have you participate and respond.

We started with 300 tags and will continue to provide updates as tags are taken, and we get closer to filling the walls with donuts once again!
