As a community, we value storytelling as a key way in which God moves in our midst.

We believe that the darkness gets pushed back every time we tell a kingdom story - every time we say what is true of God, of us, of each other, and of the world around us.

They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony;

they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.

-- Revelation 12:11 NIV

Jesus was the greatest storyteller that ever lived. Most of his earthly ministry was expressed through the telling of stories and asking of questions, and we want to practice this way of healing with him.

Every year, we explore what it means to be a Spirit-empowered community in our own context and follow in the way of Jesus. Week by week in January, we will engage and respond to different movements of the Spirit through the ancient spiritual practice of confession (true storytelling).

Over this month we are going to grow as a listening and storytelling community and we invite your full participation in that with us. We're asking you to share your stories of goodness, of provision, of healing, of struggle, of need, of rejoicing, of doubt -- whatever is true. Unfinished stories count too!

We want to always be aware of where the kingdom is bubbling up around us and let each other know what we see God doing in our lives and in the lives of others.

As we commit to this practice of storytelling together, we know that we will grow in fullness.

Whatever your story is and wherever you are in your journey with Jesus, it counts and we want to hear about it.

Take some time to pause and pray and ask Jesus which story he would like you to offer to this community. Share with a friend or in your life group. Let the Spirit empower you in the kind of courage and boldness it takes to bring our stories into the light.

Then, share your insights, questions, visions, or convictions with us! We want to know what you are hearing so that we can get a fuller picture of what Jesus is saying to our community.

Share with us what stories Jesus is revealing to you as we walk through the series!

Written Reflection - Reflect on your story and share in written form.

Questions - What questions are surfacing as you consider the practice of storytelling?

Creative Expression - Respond to what Jesus is revealing to you about your story through song, poetry, sculpture, painting, photography, or any other creative expression.

You can fill out the fields directly in the form or upload a file.
